The Boise neighborhood, sometimes referred to as "Boise Eliot" or the Historic Mississippi District is located on the East side of the Willamette River. It is bordered by the Overlook, Humboldt, King and Eliot neighborhoods in the increasingly hip and popular North Portland. Boise is in a great location for commuting to downtown Portland as well as getting to many other great Portland neighborhoods. Boise is an urban neighborhood with cultural diversity. Home styles in this area consist of older Victorian cottages, Craftsman, and other older East Portland styles that have historic charm and character

These “Neighborhood Pages” are intended to be a portal to information available from the City of Portland and other sources about individual Portland neighborhoods. The pages are still evolving. The photo and description of the neighborhood were pulled from a variety of sources including neighborhood websites, portlandneighborhood.com, and the ONI Webmaster's brain. We would love to get input from the neighborhood associations on how to improve the neighborhood descriptions and ideas for photos that best represent a neighborhood.
