Historic Linnton combines the best of Portland. Nestled along the Willamette River and Forest Park, its gateway location -- five miles northwest of downtown and three miles southeast of Sauvie Island -- makes it a natural haven for people who appreciate a strong sense of place, civic pride, and quirky isolation.

Winner of the 2005 Spirit of Portland Award, the community of Linnton is proud of its neighborhood involvement. Our residents include a diverse mix of professionals, artists and salt-of-the-earth working folks who champion unity, independence and a rustic spirit.

These “Neighborhood Pages” are intended to be a portal to information available from the City of Portland and other sources about individual Portland neighborhoods.  The pages are still evolving.  The photo and description of the neighborhood were pulled from a variety of sources including neighborhood websites, portlandneighborhood.com, and the ONI Webmaster's brain.  We would love to get input from the neighborhood associations on how to improve the neighborhood descriptions and ideas for photos that best represent a neighborhood.  Any input will be gladly excepted by the ONI Web Administrator.
